FERC eTariff Order No. 714
In Order No. 714, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) requires that all Tariffs, Tariff revisions, and rate change applications be filed electronically in the NAESB eTariff XML standard starting April 1, 2010. The affected regulated entities are:
Public utilities and power marketing administrations under Parts 35 and 300;
On its April 17, 2008 Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) revised its regulations to require that all Tariffs, Tariff revisions, and rate change applications for public utilities, natural gas pipelines, oil pipelines, and power marketing administrations be filed electronically according to a set of standards developed in conjunction with the North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB).
FERC Order No. 714 requires that all Tariffs, Tariff revisions and rate change applications be filed electronically starting April 1, 2010 using a set of standards and protocols developed by NAESB and adopted by the FERC. FERC has dedicated a website for all information and an electronic test site to aid in the development of software by vendors.
