FERC eTariff Notice of Proposed Rulemaking
In January 2007, FERC issued NOPR (Notice of Proposed Rulemaking) RM01-5-000 announcing the launch of an initiative within the North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB) to develop standards for electronic tariff and rate schedule filings.

On April 17, 2008 at the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) revised its regulations to require that all tariffs, tariff revisions, and rate change applications for public utilities, natural gas pipelines, oil pipelines, and power marketing administrations be filed electronically according to a set of standards developed in conjunction with the North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB).

FERC eTariff Order No. 714
Public utilities and power marketing administrations under Parts 35 and 300;
Natural gas pipelines under Parts 154 and 284;
Intrastate gas pipelines under Part 284; and
Oil pipelines under Part 341.

Systrends worked with energy organizations, and evaluated their requirements in relation to the FERC eTariff standards. Our requirements analysis helped develop an eTariff toolset designed to manage tariff components and establish streamlined communication for electronic filings with FERC. The toolset is one feature of our  eTariffManager solutions. To find out more about Systrends and its other products and services, see eTariff parent website, www.systrends.com
